FED'S KROSZNER: MORE MUST BE DONE TO STEM FORECLOSURES WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- The mortgage industry should increase its efforts to help homeowners avoid foreclosure, said Federal Reserve Board Governor Randall Kroszner on Monday. About 1.5 million homeowners will face higher interest rates in 2008 as the interest rates on their subprime mortgages reset, Kroszner said.
